Meet The Cardamom
My Story
My name is Alicia "Chacha" Miller and I am The Cardamom! I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in maternal and pediatric nutrition, general wellness, and chronic disease prevention. Nutrition is a second career for me, but I jumped head first into the field because I am passionate about health equity for all. My work is focused on bridging the gap in health disparities between BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of color) and other races by making nutrition education available, accessible, and easy to understand. The Cardamom Nutrition is founded at the intersect where evidence-based practice, diversity, inclusion, cultural competence, and compassion all collide.
I am passionate about feeding littles and making sure they are getting exposure to all the nutrition they need, right from the start. I’m a busy parent (just like you!) so I understand the importance of practical and sustainable routines that work within the family structure. My goal is to collaborate with each client to design a unique intervention informed by science that is designed to meet your specific needs and that works seamlessly into your current lifestyle.
As a parent it is so easy to feel like you are failing at life, so my job is to equip you with the research-backed tools you need to feed your family confidently. I want to empower you with the right mindset and resources to raise confident and adventurous eaters that feel good in their own skin and know that both broccoli and pizza can coexist in harmony.
I currently live in Montgomery, AL with my husband and 2 yr old daughter. We are a military family so there is often a new adventure waiting for us just around the corner! I have a plant-forward food philosophy that emphasizes optimizing nutritional status using whole foods and by eating more plants, but I also believe that balance is key. I am so happy that you’re here and I hope we can connect soon!
The Process
Working together is simple! First, we book a free 15-minute discovery call to discuss your nutrition challenges and to determine if I am the right provider for you. Once we have decided to move forward, you can schedule the service that best meets your budget and needs. We will do an in-depth nutritional analysis and then we will work together to set goals that are personalized, realistic, and sustainable for both you and your family. My practice is free from judgement and is rooted in communication, empathy, and positivity. I am here to support you in your journey towards health and together we will define what that looks like for you!
